I’ve recently added a new treatment to my menu:
a 30-minute seated massage.

It’s something clients have asked about on and off over the years, usually along the lines of “Do you do anything shorter?” or “I’d love a massage, but I just don’t have the time right now.” Until now, my answer has mostly been no, because shorter treatments don’t always allow the body enough time to settle into relaxation.

But I decided to reconsider.

What is a seated chair massage?

The massage is carried out in a specially designed chair, with you fully clothed and supported in a forward-leaning position. No oils are used, and there’s no need to undress. The focus is on areas that commonly hold tension: the neck, shoulders, upper back, arms, and head.

Because there’s no changing time and very little preparation needed, the session can be genuinely contained within 30 minutes. It’s efficient without feeling rushed.

Why I decided to offer it

Sometimes life doesn’t always allow space for a longer appointment. Maybe you’re between meetings, on a lunch break, or simply feeling that you need something rather than nothing.

This seated massage is designed as a short, supportive pause. A way to step out of busyness, let your shoulders drop, and give your nervous system a brief but meaningful reset.

It’s not a replacement for my longer treatments, and it’s not meant to do everything. But it can make a noticeable difference when time  is limited.

Who it’s particularly good for

This treatment can work well if you:

  • are short on time but feeling neck or shoulder tension
  • want a low-fuss option with no oils
  • prefer to stay clothed
  • are easing yourself back into massage or self-care
  • need something that fits neatly into a busy day

It can also be a good introduction to my work if you’re curious but not quite ready to book a longer session.

A note about longer treatments

Longer massages still allow more focused attention on easing pain, and more space for the body to relax fully. If you’re dealing with ongoing pain, complex tension patterns, or you’re craving deep relaxation, a 60 or 75-minute treatment will usually be more appropriate.

Think of the seated massage as a supportive option, not a substitute.

Introductory offer

As this is a new treatment, I’m offering it at an introductory price of £28 until the end of February. After that, it will return to its usual price of £35. Use code NEWCHAIR to book this new 30-minute seated massage at £28 until 28 February.

One important practical note

This seated massage is not suitable during pregnancy, as it involves leaning forwards into the chair. If you’re pregnant, my pregnancy massage treatments remain the safest and most comfortable option.

If this feels like something that would fit your life right now, you can book it online in the usual way. Small pauses still count, especially when life is full.
